Macronutrients make up the three major components of food – carbohydrates, fat and protein.
Ensuring we consume the right balance of macronutrients can significantly impact the quality of our results, whether our goal is fat loss, muscle gain, or weight maintenance
Macros also give us the building blocks to calculate the calorific content of meals at the following rate:
1g Carbohydrate = 4 Kcal
1g Protein = 4 Kcal
1g Fat = 9 Kcal
